National Civilian Community Corp Helps 40 Homeowners

We were thrilled to host a team from the National Civilian Community Corp (NCCC) recently.  Over four weeks, this incredible team provided accessibility modifications and repairs for 40 low-income homeowners in the Twin Cities.  The modifications they provided included installing grab bars, interior and exterior handrails, shower stools, smoke and carbon monoxide detectors, fire extinguishers, and motion-detecting lights. Their hard work will help ensure that these homeowners can live independently and safely in their homes for years to come.

Honeywell and Robbinsdale Cooper High School Make a Difference for Veterans

Last month, we partnered with Honeywell and Robbinsdale Cooper High School to make repairs and improvements to a transitional home operated by the Minnesota Assistance Council for Veterans (MACV).  MACV is a 501 (c)(3) nonprofit organization that has been assisting veterans for over 25 years, including providing transitional housing for veterans. Nearly 70 volunteers came out to help with this project, which focused on replacing a retaining wall.  A current resident of this MACV house is a graduate from Robbinsdale Cooper High School. The football team from Robbinsdale Cooper High School volunteered side-by-side with Honeywell employees, making the project even more meaningful.

This project is the 38th local collaborative project between Honeywell and Rebuilding Together Twin Cities, and we are very proud of our long-standing partnership!

Rebuilding Together and ION Television’s “Give Hope” Campaign

ION Television is currently running their “Give Hope” campaign. The campaign is meant to be a social conversation that encourages their viewers to share messages about their positive hopes for the future.

Rebuilding Together – though our ‪‎Charter Our Community partnership with Charter Communications – is one of three nonprofits selected to receive monetary donations from ION Television during the course of the campaign. After sharing their hopes on the Give Hope page, viewers can select to have ION Television donate to Rebuilding Together, Feeding America or the Joyful Heart Foundation.

We encourage everyone to visit www.iontelevision.com/insiders/give-hope to join in the conversation today!
