Bike & Build Volunteers Help a Twin Cities Homeowner

This month, we hosted the Bike & Build team for a day of hard work and fun.  The team is riding from New Hampshire to Seattle, and they stopped in the Twin Cities to volunteer at Karen’s home in Columbia Heights.  They spent the day replacing some siding and facia, painting the house and garage, and building new front and back steps.  Karen was at risk of losing her homeowners insurance because of repairs she could not afford.  With the hard work of Bike & Build and other community partners, Karen will be able to keep her insurance and remain in her home.

After wrapping up their work in the Twin Cities, the Bike & Build headed to Fargo-Moorehead to paint two homes for homeowners in need in partnership with Rebuilding Together Fargo – Moorhead.

Catholic Heart Workcamp Makes a Difference

Last week, we partnered with youth from the Catholic Heart Workcamp to help several homeowners in need in the Twin Cities.  Volunteers completed a variety of tasks, including ramp maintenance, yard work, moving a ramp, and more.  Thanks to Catholic Heart Workcamp for your hard work!
