We recently hosted NCCC Team Oak 4 for three weeks. During their time with us, the NCCC team worked on eight Home Repair projects and 14 Safe at Home projects. We are grateful for their support and wish them well on their next project in Michigan!
National Civilian Community Corps Helps More than 13 Families in Need
We were thrilled to host a team from the National Civilian Community Corps this fall, who completed a number of projects in the Twin Cities. The team made repairs to two ramps; completed an accessible walkway for a woman who uses a scooter to get around; painted a mobile home to prevent a woman from being evicted; built a storage unit for all of our outdoor materials; helped to complete punch list items and close out eight home repair projects; and helped an 87-year-old man move into an assisted living facility. Thank you to this team for helping all of these families have a safer and healthier place to call home. We are grateful for this high-impact partnership with the National Civilian Community Corps and appreciate all of their hard work!
National Civilian Community Corp Helps 40 Homeowners
We were thrilled to host a team from the National Civilian Community Corp (NCCC) recently. Over four weeks, this incredible team provided accessibility modifications and repairs for 40 low-income homeowners in the Twin Cities. The modifications they provided included installing grab bars, interior and exterior handrails, shower stools, smoke and carbon monoxide detectors, fire extinguishers, and motion-detecting lights. Their hard work will help ensure that these homeowners can live independently and safely in their homes for years to come.
