Our Programs
Home Repair Program
Helping ensure healthy, livable homes.
The Home Repair program provides sub-contractor-delivered repair or replacement of essential systems that are critical to healthy, livable homes. For some Southwest Minnesota applicants, volunteers may also perform this work. This program can provide services to those living in Manufactured Homes within the Twin Cities Metro Area.
To qualify for Home Repair assistance:
- Applicant must own the home or make mortgage payments on the home for which they are seeking assistance and be up-to-date on tax payments.
- Applicant must reside in Minnesota.
- To qualify for our cost-free services, applicant must have a household income that is at or below 50% of the Area Median Income as determined by HUD. (Please contact us for additional information.)
- At least one resident in the home must be an older adult (55+), an individual living with a disability, a child under the age of 18, or an active or retired member of the armed services.
- Applicant must plan to remain in their home for at least five years.
- Depending on the the geographic location of your home, some of our funding partners may require additional qualification criteria. You will be notified if further information is necessary to complete your application.
Safe at Home Program
Helping people live safely and age in place independently in their own home.
The Safe at Home program offers volunteer-delivered home safety and fall prevention modifications, such as ramps, grab bars, and more, to older adults or those living with a disability.
To qualify for Safe at Home assistance:
- Applicant must own the home or make mortgage payments on the home for which they are seeking assistance and be up-to-date on tax payments.
- Applicant must reside in Minnesota.
- To qualify for our cost-free services, applicant must have a household income that is at or below 50% of the Area Median Income as determined by HUD. (Please contact us for additional information.)
- Applicant must have at least one household member who is an older adult (55+) or is living with a disability.
- Applicant must plan to remain in their home for at least two years.
- Depending on the geographic location of your home, some of our funding partners may require additional qualification criteria. You will be notified if further information is necessary to complete your application.
