American Legion Volunteers at 7th Neighborhood Garden

On August 24th, we partnered with Legionnaires and American Legion Auxiliary members, who volunteered their time to build raised bed gardens, a storage garden shed and a compost bin at the 7th Neighborhood Garden in St. Paul.

The 7th Neighborhood Garden is in its second year of existence.  It started as the Cambric Senior Apartment Garden, but the garden founder quickly realized that the garden was a good way to get not just Cambric members to socialize, but to provide the entire East 7th neighborhood with a place to come together and experience the outdoors and growing their own food.

This project provided an opportunity to showcase the power of ‘veterans helping communities’ as thousands of members of The American Legion arrived in the Twin Cities for the 100th National Convention of The American Legion held at the Minneapolis Convention Center from August 24th until August 29th.

Moving On: AmeriCorps Term of Service Ends

Over the last year, Rebuilding Together Twin Cities was fortunate to have Kelly Highum and Holden Bothun serve as AmeriCorps members.

Thank you to Kelly and Holden for your hard work, dedication, and enthusiasm over the last year.  Best of luck with this next chapter of your lives!

Thank You to Ameriprise Financial!

We are thrilled to share that we recently received a $10,000 grant from Ameriprise Financial.  Ameriprise has consistently supported our work over the years, and we are thankful for this grant, which will allow us to continue to transform the lives of low-income homeowners by improving the safety and health of their homes and revitalizing our communities.

National Recoveries Donates $10,105

National Recoveries recently donated $10,105 to Rebuilding Together Twin Cities through their Summer Giveback Program. According to Vice President – Compliance and Regulatory Managemen Jenie Kunza-Barrett, “National Recoveries’ Summer Giveback Program allows their staff to donate $50.00 or more and have the option to wear jeans for the month. National Recoveries wanted to partner with a local, charitable organization within the Twin Cities and selected Rebuilding Together Twin Cities because of their incredible work and impact they have on the community.”  We are incredibly grateful for this donation from National Recoveries!
