We would like to send a special thank you to everyone who was able to join us for our Breakfast on April 18th at the Center for Changing Lives! More than 100 people attended, and Minnesota Housing Finance Commissioner Mary Tingerthal and Department of Human Services Assistant Commissioner Claire Wilson shared their thoughts about how we can help seniors and individuals living with a disability remain in their homes and neighborhoods. We also raised more than $11,000 to help homeowners in need!
We were recently awarded a grant from Minnesota Housing that will help us rehabilitate 20 owner-occupied homes in North Minneapolis, South Minneapolis and Saint Paul’s East Side. Thanks to Minnesota Housing for their continued support of our efforts to preserve affordable homeownership by providing critical repairs for low-income homeowners in our community.
The Minnesota Housing Finance Agency recently announced their 2014 grant awards. We are thrilled to announce that they have awarded us a grant for $45,000 to provide critical repairs for six homeowners in need in Minneapolis. The full announcement and list of grant awards is available here.
Thank you to MN Housing for continuing to support our work!
