Thanks for Joining Us at the Breakfast!

We would like to send a special thank you to everyone who was able to join us for our Breakfast on April 18th at the Center for Changing Lives!  More than 100 people attended, and Minnesota Housing Finance Commissioner Mary Tingerthal and Department of Human Services Assistant Commissioner Claire Wilson shared their thoughts about how we can help seniors and individuals living with a disability remain in their homes and neighborhoods.  We also raised more than $11,000 to help homeowners in need!

Thanks To…

Jon Rol, a general contractor, who volunteered to help install Deb’s ramp.  Jon brought his tools and expertise, both of which we appreciate!

Veterans Integrity Exteriors for recently replacing the roof for a homeowner in need and Minnesota Housing Finance Agency for providing the funding for this project!

Minnesota Timberwolves for supporting our efforts to help veterans in need live in safe and healthy homes with a $5,000 grant!

Our amazing Safe at Home Volunteers Stephen, Wes, and Mariette!

Special shout out to the Students from St. Paul College!

Have You Heard about our Critical Repair Program?

Last year, we launched our Critical Repair Program, which is designed to help low-income homeowners repair or replace vital systems associated with their home, such as heating and air conditioning, electrical, plumbing, windows, siding, and/or roof systems.  These contractor-based services enable homeowners in need to be better prepared to deal with future home maintenance issues.

We have already assisted 14 homeowners through this program.  One of the homeowners we helped was Donna who said in her thank you note, “Since getting a new roof, a great burden has been lifted from my life.”

This program is made possible by the generous support of the Federal Home Loan Bank of Des Moines and Minnesota Housing Finance Agency.
