Are You on the Hook, Line, & Shelter Fishing Tournament Final Leaderboard?

Thanks to everyone who participated in our Hook, Line, & Shelter Fishing Tournament!  The Tournament ran from May 14th through Labor Day weekend and we LOVED seeing all of your fishing photos and entries!

We have updated the leaderboard for the final time, which you can view here.

Congratulations to everyone who made the leaderboard!

We have been working remotely all summer due to a water pipe break in our office, so we ask that you please be patient as we process and send out the prizes. We plan to send all of the prizes out in the coming weeks.

We would like to send a very special thank you to WCCO Television, Joe’s Sporting Goods, and 13 Fishing for sponsoring this event!  The tournament proceeds will support our efforts to ensure that everyone in our community has a safe and healthy place to call home!

Volunteer Paul Oman Has Passed Away

With a heavy heart, we are sharing the news that one of our volunteers, Paul Oman, has passed away. Paul was one of our “Big 3” Quicksilvers volunteers.  Our Ramp Program Manager, Ryan Thomas, said, “He was a gentle soul, with a servant’s heart and a smile on his face.”

Paul will be missed and we send our deepest condolences to his family, friends, and fellow volunteers.

Shout Out to Omaze!

We would like to send a special thank you to Omaze for providing us with a grant to help three low-income families in need with much-needed repairs and accessibility modifications!

Nobles County Rebuilding Day Was a Huge Success!

Thank you to everyone who came together to make our first annual Nobles County Rebuilding Day a huge success!  Together with our volunteers and sponsors, we provided repairs and accessibility modifications for two low-income homeowners in Worthington on September 10th. We also provided additional homeowners in Southwest Minnesota with safety improvements and repairs throughout the month, including our Cottonwood County Rebuilding Day in Mountain Lake which was held on September 24th.  Stay tuned next month for an update on that Rebuilding Day!

One of the homeowners we helped is Mary, a single mother of four. Volunteers spent the day landscaping to protect the basement from water damage, installing smoke and CO detectors, fixing and installing doors, cleaning gutters, and adding downspouts and leaf guards.  Volunteers at the second home added grab bars and replaced kitchen flooring.  We also replaced the furnace at the home, ensuring the family will be warm and safe this winter.

We would like to send a shout out to the Worthington High School Trojans football team who volunteered with us for the day!

Thanks to our amazing sponsors including: Wells Fargo, Cemstone, Tru Shine Truck Wash, Mike Woll Investment Office, Henning Construction, Inc., Hy-Vee, Bedford Industries, First State Bank Southwest, Sanford Health, Worthington Building Materials, Worthington Federal Savings Bank and Juniper.

We would also like to send a very special thank you to our Nobles County Rebuilding Day committee who raised funding for these projects, recruited volunteers, and organized the projects!
