Home Repair Program
This program is currently not accepting new applications for the Twin Cities Metro Area. We will reopen for new applicants in 2025. We are still accepting applications for our current service areas in Southwest Minnesota (Cottonwood, Jackson, Murray, Nobles, Pipestone, and Rock Counties).Â
Helping ensure healthy, livable homes.
The Home Repair program provides volunteer-delivered safe and healthy housing repairs including interior improvements (i.e. installing flooring, patching and painting), siding, windows, and landscaping. It also provides sub-contractor delivered repair or replacement of essential systems, such as HVAC, electrical, plumbing, and roofs that are critical to healthy, livable homes.
To qualify for Home Repair assistance:
- Applicant must own the home or make mortgage payments on the home for which they are seeking assistance and be up-to-date on tax payments.
- Applicant must reside in Minnesota.
- To qualify for our cost-free services, applicant must have a household income that is at or below 50% of the Area Median Income as determined by HUD. (Please contact us for additional information.)
- At least one resident in the home must be an older adult (55+), an individual living with a disability, a child under the age of 18, or an active or retired member of the armed services.
- Applicant must plan to remain in their home for at least five years.
- Depending on the the geographic location of your home, some of our funding partners may require additional qualification criteria. You will be notified if further information is necessary to complete your application.
