Wells Fargo Helps Several Families in Need
We are thrilled to be partnering with Wells Fargo again this year to help families in need in the Twin Cities!
This month, volunteers from Wells Fargo helped Carolyn in South Minneapolis, who has limited mobility due to severe arthritis. Carolyn loves her home, as she is surrounded by friendly neighbors and is close to grocers, the library, and her church, but getting around is a significant challenge. She has fallen in her home several times and is now wheelchair bound when going outside. Volunteers removed old carpeting, installed carpet tiles, painted the kitchen, and built an exterior wheelchair ramp so Carolyn can come and go from her home. Wells Fargo volunteers also helped Stephen and Lori and their children in Saint Paul by demolishing an old, rotting deck and building a new deck in backyard. And, they helped Velora by building low-rise steps at the front door so she can more easily get in and out of her home and painting the bathroom.
We are very grateful to Wells Fargo for their continued commitment to supporting our work to ensure that low-income homeowners can remain in their own homes and neighborhoods!
Ramp Trailer Update!
As many of you know, our ramp trailer was stolen last month, and we have been working hard to raise the funds to build a new one. You can check out the news coverage about our stolen ramp here, here, and here.
We are very grateful to everyone who has contributed so far, including the Builders Association of the Twin Cities Foundation who donated $2,500 towards a new ramp trailer! Â We have already raised more than $4,000 to help us buy a new ramp trailer, and we are very close to meeting our goal of $5,000.
Please consider making a donation and help us meet our goal so we can continue to build ramps for those in need in the Twin Cities!
